PolyU GreenCoin, often referred to as GreenCoin, is an incentive-based programme to promote campus-wide sustainability initiatives and drive behavioral changes among current PolyU staff and students.

GreenCoin mobile app is the digital platform designated specifically for the GreenCoin programme. It serves as a digital wallet, enabling users to effortlessly track their eco-friendly actions while earning rewards for their sustainable contribution towards sustainability and decarbonisation. The GreenCoin mobile app is available at Apple App Store and Google Play.

All current PolyU staff and students can download the GreenCoin app and register for a GreenCoin account linked to their netID.

You only need an Internet-connected handheld mobile phone, compatible with iOS® 11 or above and with Android™8.0 or above, and then install the dedicated GreenCoin app on your mobile phone. Also, you are advised to check and see if we have released any app updates as we are continuously improving its functionalities and settings to bring better user experience. Related announcements will be made through our website.

You do not need to submit any sensitive personal information in order to download the app. However, you must be aware that you need to login with your NetID to run the app on your mobile phone.
